This smile is not always on my face, Friends. But recently, through a season of trials that is now turning into a season of blessings, I am learning how to embrace TRUE joy and peace, not of this world, but from the Lord (John 14:27). ** He is incredibly tender, sweet and kind. That is what stuck with me this morning after taking some time in silence to read John 14. I am seeing that first hand my Friends in MANY blessings that He, for whatever reason, has chosen to give me in the recent past. AND, I have also seen it through His faithfulness and long-suffering patience with me over the last season of discontentment and waiting and, if I'm being honest, lots of complaining and ungratefulness. He is TRULY a Good Good Father to all His children. Friend, if you are not where I am right now, I want you to know that you are NOT alone in that feeling. I want to encourage you to LEAN IN!! Be there. Be in that slump, with all the funkiness and bad attitude you can muster. Give it all to the Lord, and watch as He, in all His amazing Grace takes that and slowly molds it like clay, into beautiful trust, humility and hope in Him alone!! He will do it! Very interesting! This is why Yoga. Search: "The Science Behind Yoga" on YouTube. Full documentary linked in summary of video. I don't necessarily agree with all the psychic and spiritual aspects of yoga practice, but seeing that science is finally catching up is very cool! Enjoy!

This is exactly the reason why I am for diversity now, and finding unity within that diversity! ** Unity within immense diversity is where the whole world and all of humanity is headed, under the well planned guidance and leadership of a God who is both incredibly diverse and incredibly unified all at once!! I believe this is one of the most important things we can strive for here on earth: unifying a divisive world under a Love so True that He did not see any other option but to give every ounce of Himself away to a human race who would kill Him! This is my mission, and the mission of every believer! In the midst of this season of Joy at a baby being born in a manger, PLEASE do not forget that the very reason for that Joy is that baby was destined to die 30 years later at your hand. O Lord, may your death not be in vain! May your people fight to continue moving toward this promised unity under your Love! May we not settle for the "love" and "peace" and "joy" that this world brings this Christmas. In Jesus' name, so be it!

Directly from my journal, "Yes Lord, you are the wind in my sails. You guide my journey by your superior wisdom and grace and love. That I can have peace in. That I can trust!” Oh man, Friends, trust is hard. It is hard. Is that just me? I suspect not. The Lord, in has amazing grace and love, has been nudging, and if I'm honest shoving, me towards being able to truly trust Him, that He is good and no matter how things may turn out in this messy thing called life, He is still good. He still has good plans for me, even when and if they don't work out the way I would like them to. That NEVER makes His plans, and more importantly, His character, less good. NEVER. EVER. There's too much hate and too much hurt in the world. Can we all just take a minute to look up today? Can we allow ourselves to be reminded just how much of a grace it is that we are even alive today? Can we remember when we look around us at this beautiful 🌎, especially today, that God saw fit to create it and us FOR A REASON! AND He also saw fit to create our neighbors, and the people who aren't driving the way we want them to, and YES even the politicians and leaders running countries, ours and others.
