Lessons Learned

Lesson of the Day: There is an invitation sent out to all of us by Jesus. When we choose to accept that invitation there is a call that comes with it, a call to discipleship, a call to give up our identity and our obsessions and pick up our cross and follow Him. That’s not an easy thing to do and it’s not supposed to be easy. If everything was easy, then what would we live for? What would be our reason to get up in the morning? Jesus NEVER promised that any of this would be easy for those who follow Him, in fact He promised that it would be difficult and that we would struggle just as He did. However, He also promised to make it worth it, to reward us for our struggles and sacrifices in eternity with Him!! To all those who are sacrificing so much for this country (soldiers AND their families alike) remember that there is a reward in eternity for those who put their faith in Jesus Christ, for He ALREADY WON THE BATTLE and is now making all things new and WILL come back for what is rightfully His!!! Lots of love ♥

If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. —Jesus, Luke 19:23

To tell the truth, I am having a very hard time following this right now. It is absolutely not an easy thing to do. To drop everything and follow Jesus. After all, He does say that the path to follow Him is a narrow one. Lord PLEASE match my will to yours. I want to follow You and You alone!! I know that You have great plans for me, I just need to be able to trust those plans and to know beyond the shadow of a doubt that THEY ARE BETTER THAN MINE!! Above all, thank you for grace that allows me be in this place right now without fear!! ~Amen~
